In our winery we use grapes from our own vines grown in “La Alborada”, “El Retorno” and “San Antonio” vineyards. Together they amount to 270 acres (110 hectares), located in the privileged areas of Luján de Cuyo, Maipú and Tupungato. Their altitudes are from 2,600 to 3,950 feet (800 to 1,200 meters) asl. The soils are alluvial, rocky, with good drainage and moderate fertility. The weather is mild and dry, with sunny days and cool nights; and with a wide thermal amplitude between daytime and night-time, thus contributing to an excellent tannin development and a very good colour and aroma concentration in our grapes. Activities such as pruning, cluster thinning, canopy management and hand-harvesting are performed by our own qualified crew. This is the beginning of a story; the dawn puts an end to the darkness of the night and at the same time, it is the beginning of a new day full of light, energy and hope. This is the reason why in our winery we celebrate the “Time of the Dawn,” and this is also the reason for its name: “Tempus Alba.”
